Tetris was one of the earliest games created, which still continues to command a large following.

Tetris (also called blocks or bricks) was created in 1985 by Alexey Leonidovich Pajitnov on an Electronica 60 at the Soviet Academy of Sciences. Tetris - name derived from Greek alphabet 'Tetra' symbolising 4 blocks & 'tennis' Alexey's favourite sport.
